New Japan Pro-Wrestling has officially established the NJPW New Zealand Dojo in Auckland.
NJPW chairman Naoki Sugabayashi made the announcement at a press conference in Tokyo on Monday.
The New Zealand dojo's aim will be to "nurture talent with a resolve and commitment to excellence".
Other dojos already established include the Noge Japan dojo and the Los Angeles dojo.
The NZ dojo will be called New Japan Pro-Wrestling New Zealand Dojo.
"Currently in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Bad Luck Fale, Jay White, Robbie Eagles and Toa Henare all represent Oceanic nations. We plan for the the next generation of NJPW stars to be born in this new Dojo," says Sugabayashi in an article on NJPW1972.com
Tryouts for the NZ dojo will be held on May 9 and 10.
