A match up between Dillian Whyte and Alexander Povetkin is all but a done deal, according to recent media reports.
The match looks set to land on April 25 or May 2, according to promoter Eddie Hearn.
Boxing News 24 reports negotiations are close to being a done deal.
The fight is being described as risky as Whyte (27-1, 18 KOs) is the WBC mandatory to champion Deontay Wilder, and he’ll be getting a title shot in 2021, and Povetkin (35-2-1, 24 KOs) is coming off of a 10 round draw against Michael Hunter on December 7 in a WBA title eliminator.
