The Eternal 50 weigh-ins took place this afternoon, with all fighters making weight. One major change to the fight card is that the heavyweight tournament is now an open weight, one-night tournament.
The heavyweight tournament was to be a Grand Prix tournament, with the four men fighting on Saturday night to determine the two men who would fight in a future event for the Eternal MMA Heavyweight title.
The change means that the four heavyweight fighters were not required to weigh in under the 120kg heavyweight limit but will still compete for the Eternal MMA Heavyweight title tomorrow night.
The brackets for the tournament were drawn at the weigh-in, as follows:
Henri Burns vs Damian Maru
Jack Tuave vs Ricky Biechun
The winners will fight in the final bout to determine the Eternal MMA Heavyweight champion.

The event takes place tomorrow night at Sky City Event Centre in Auckland. The main event sees veteran fighter Iain Blade step up to take on City Kickboxing’s BJ Bland in a welterweight clash.
In the co-main event, CKB’s Blood Diamond steps in to fill the spot left by the injured Carlos Hicks, taking on tough contender Dimps Gillies at welterweight.
Also on the main card, Lost Boys’ James McBride will take on Talor Wetere at lightweight.
The undercard has four fights to warm up the crowd from 4:30pm. The full card is given below. You can get tickets at the Eventbrite website. The event will stream live on UFC Fight Pass.
